Better purchasing and stock control means immediate savings

Bell Plumbing and Maintenance is a family owned, forty two year old business. They’ve seen some changes over the years, most recently, and quite possibly most significantly, the move to simPRO Enterprise.

More time for customer service

Adam Bell took over the business from his father back in 2005. Since then he’s hardly had an opportunity to get away from the office. He’s wanted to take a step back from the business to begin making strategic decisions and to start speaking to customers again rather than being an indispensable manager tied to the desk.

Adam was looking for a system designed specifically for the trade industry and endorsed by those he could trust. He’d seen simPRO advertised regularly through Master Plumbers so he decided to give us a call.

Improved purchasing and stock control

The comprehensive reporting in Enterprise enabled Adam to immediately identify anomalies in his spending. Serious savings started being made in the first month.

Efficiencies in his purchasing soon became realised, no longer doubling up on materials. This also helps his stock control. Field techs are only carrying the materials they need. Adam now has a clear record of materials purchased, where those materials are, where they've been used and the associated financials.

In the field, techs are of course using simPRO Connect where before and after photos are being uploaded to give both staff and clients a clear understanding of the work being carried out. Adam no longer has to be at the office waiting for calls, all the information the business needs to keep the field techs productive is in Connect.

simTRAC has it’s own dedicated monitor on the wall. Adam and office staff are always able to identify who is the best tech to send to any emergency job coming in.

Adam now has more time for his customers and more time for his family. He’s discovered the freedom that comes with serious job management software. You’ll soon be seeing more of Adam in our upcoming ‘Journey’ series.
